Improving your life should not be hard, that is why we created the healthy mouth makeover; a collection of our top-performing oral care products for an incredible price.
Super Mint Toothpowder
The #1 Selling product; Our toothpowder is a base of toxin trapping bentonite clay, a beautiful beige mineral that is soft on enamel but tough of plaque. We combine in Alkalizing baking soda to reduce acidic erosion, Myhrr gum powder which has been used since ancient Greece to reduce inflammation and improve gum health, Green Tea extract which has been shown to reduce plaque as well as brighten teeth, we finish up with a blend of three types of mint to provide a fresh long-lasting flavor as well as reducing inflammation and fighting bacteria.
Super Mint Toothpaste
Our toothpaste is based on the same principles as our powder but in a more familiar form.Β Our paste is 100% natural and free from fluoride, SLS and xylitol which is fatal to animals. We mix our Bentonite clay base with fractionated coconut oil and therapeutic grade essential oils in order to make our paste creamy and rich. A little goes a long way! Since our paste does not have glycerin you don't need to worry about GMO corn or soy, common allergens. By choosing coconut oil over water to make our paste smooth, we add the gunk removing anti-bacterial benefits of coconut oil to every brush.
Biodegradable Bamboo Toothbrush
We live in a world so pretty and pure, but plastic toothbrushes are thrown out by the score! Over 4.7 billion, yes that's with a B, hit landfills around the world and just sit there you see. They won't decompose into the soil for 1,000 years! An ocean full of plastic is one of our fears. So we're happy to bring you a better solution, Our bamboo-based brush helps cut down on pollution! Its handle is natural and it's bristles darn near, the whole thing should biodegrade in round a bout 3 years! On top of all that we added some features, an ergonomic handle, wave-shaped bristles and extra soft charcoal-infused bristles to banish germ-y creatures. We love this new brush and we're excited to tell you, it's a great addition to any tooth brushing rendezvous!
Super Mint Oil Pulling Mouthwash
Oil pulling is nothing new, people in India have been swishing away for thousands of years to help keep teeth and gums healthy.
We combine the best of old and new, our blend of traditional ayurvedic ingredients like sesame seed oil and 'modern' ingredients like coconut oil to give you all of the benefits of both without the funky taste or texture they have on their own.
Our essential oil blend is specifically formulated to help soothe teeth and gums while fighting bad breath and keeping you fresh for hours. Oil pulling also helps to tone the muscles of the face which can prevent sagging and help bring oxygen-filled blood to the face.
Pure Copper Tongue Scraper
Take fresh breath to the next level! Simply pull this magical device over your tongue and evict those fuzzy gross freeloading bacteria living on your tongue. Try it once and you'll never go back to brushing alone again! The result will be very visible, fair warning.Β Copper is naturally anti-bacterial and has been used for thousands of years when sanitization is required. Our scraper is made of extra heavy gauge wire and will last a lifetime. It is pliable and can be gently shaped to custom fit any mouth. To clean simply wash with soap and water.

Why do teeth turn yellow?
Many people think that there is only one cause of yellow teeth, food and drink.Β
There are actually 4 causes of yellow or dark teeth and you can have one or more causes affecting you.Β
1. Food and drink:Β Coffee and soda are the two most common culprits of staining but why?Β Coffee contains acidic polyphenols called tannins that can lead to staining and discoloration, coffee is also acidic which slowly dissolves enamel and creates microscopic pits where staining food and drink gets trapped. Soda, has similar problems. This bubbly beverage is considered acidic to the body and, as a result, is damaging to your dental health.Β Here's the surprise, while the color of drinks can leave stains on teeth it is the acidity that can cause a snowball effect.2. Naturally or Artificially thin enamel: Your teeth are made of three parts: the core of your teeth is made of soft pulp, this is where blood and nutrients are brought up through arteries in your jaw into your teeth.Β The next layer is called Dentin it is harder than pulp but not as hard as enamel. Dentin takes the nutrient-rich blood from the pulp and "extracts" out nutrients needed to keep your teeth healthy. Dentin is also off white, this is why if you have thin enamel your teeth may look yellow or dark. If you've ever bleached your teeth but just could not get your teeth bright enough it may be that you have thin enamel, if this is so, do not bleach your teeth! Bleaching can further thin your enamel.
3. Medications & drugs:Β Certain prescriptions and drugs can cause teeth darkening. Amoxicillin, ciprofloxacin and tetracycline can cause tooth discoloration. If you've used these medications for an extended period of time talk to your doctor and see if you can decrease your dose or change your medication. Certain "Street drugs" can ruin your teeth, cocaine & methamphetamine wreak havoc on your teeth, just say "no" kids! Lastly, fluoride can make your teeth discolored! Many people don't realize that fluoride can cause a condition called enamel fluorosis. If you are exposed to excessive fluoride while growing up, either through drinking water, oral care or dental visits, your teeth can trap too many fluoride crystals in your enamel causingΒ a condition of the dental hard tissues in which the enamel covering of the teeth fails to crystallize properly, leading to defects that range from barely discernable markings to brown stains and surface pitting. Unfortunately, all of these causes are permanent and irreversible due to the total nature of their damage.
4. Diet: Teeth are built in the womb and 'refurbished' continuously throughout life. If you are thinking about becoming a mother it is very important that you give yourself proper nutrition before you conceive, during pregnancy and while breastfeeding to ensure your child's dental health. Adults can impact their tooth brightness too. Teeth are constantly replacing minerals in order to deal with day to day wear and tear, if you have a low nutrient diet your teeth will "starve" of minerals and turn greyish, yellow or brown. The standard American Diet, Veganism, and some Vegetarians lack key nutrients required for bright strong teeth.Β It is essential that your diet provides adequate levels of the following nutrients: Protein, Calcium, Phosphorus, Zinc, Folate, Iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, B Vitamins and FAT! Why do you need fat for dental health? Many essential tooth nutrients are only digestible along with fat, they are fat-soluble. You should also try to avoid Carbohydrates andΒ Phytates found in many grains, some vegetables, nuts and seeds. Phytates can be reduced by soaking, sprouting and fermenting before consumption.Β Β Foods high in bio-available tooth-friendly nutrients are: Eggs, Whole fat raw milk,Β Avacados, Fish eggs and liver oil, Cow Liver, Grass-fed Butter (One of the best foods for dental health), Saurkraut, Red meat, Fatty fish, Bone broth, Cooked vegetables, and Sunshine.http://oasisdiscussions.ca/2014/05/28/td-2/

What causes bad breath?
Bad breath can be very embarrassing, but unless you have a serious underlying health issue, most people can take steps to reduce bad breath.Β There are generally 3 factors to influence the quality of your breath.
1. Diet: Diets high in sugars and carbs feed little mouth bacteria that secret stinky smelling odors. Reducing carbs and sugar will help starve these bacteria out reducing smell and also improving oral health. As a bonus, a diet low in carbs and sugar also cuts down dramatically on cavities.Β
2. Hygiene: Poor dental hygiene is the most common cause of bad breath but the good news is it is also the easiest problem to change! Flossing daily, scraping your tongue and oil pulling are great ways to dislodge plaque, bacteria and rotting food which cause bad smell. People who combine diet change and tongue scraping into their life see amazing changes in their bad breath in as little as a month.
3. Medications & Health: Some bad breath has a much deeper cause, diabetes, sinus infections, Psoriasis of the liver and more can cause bad breath. In addition some medications can cause bad breath, usually, this is caused by the medication causing dry mouth. Your oral care routine can do a lot to help deal with the bad breath symptoms of medical issues but it will not cure the cause.

How do I prevent cavities?
The number one thing you can do to prevent cavities is to reduce sugar and carbohydrates.Β
Cavities are started by bacteria in your mouth, These bacteria eat sugar and carbs then excrete acid. This acid can cause weak spots in your enamel that can eventually become cavities
Sugars and carbs are also very low in nutrition and can even leach nutrition from the body. As you may have read in the why do teeth turn yellow" section above, it is extremely important to have excellent nutrition for tooth health.Β
Teeth are constantly replenishing themselves with minerals if your diet is poor your teeth will be poor.Β Read the "yellowing teeth" section above for information on nutrition and tooth health.Β
The second thing you can do is have a proper and consistent oral care routine, brushing with a soft-bristle toothbrush in an up and down motion at least twice a day with a natural toothpaste free from anti-bacterial agents, SLS and fluoride. These chemicals can throw off the balance of beneficial flora in your mouth that protects your teeth. Next flossing once a day helps to dislodge food from between teeth, helping to starve the harmful bacteria. Tongue scraping twice a day is an often overlooked part of oral care, the tongue can harbor millions of bacteria, by scraping the tongue gently we remove those bacteria and also improve breath.Β Lastly, oil pulling is a big secret to oral health, not only does it dislodge gunk from between your teeth but it also exercises the muscles of the face, bringing blood to the area and helping to produce more saliva. Saliva brings minerals to teeth and gums which helps to strengthen teeth and fight bacteria.Β -
How do I whiten my teeth?
First of all we have to define the difference between bleaching and whitening teeth. Many people start using a whitening toothpaste expecting the results of bleaching. The truth is that no toothpaste will get the results of bleaching, those models you see with blindingly white teeth either have artificially bleached their teeth or have false veneers.Β
Natural teeth are not pure white. Natural teeth are off white and bright.Β
Many people have dull teeth from poor nutrition or yellowed teeth from staining. The good news is both of these causes can be positively effected to give you brighter natural teeth!
If your teeth are dull, your diet is probably low in essential nutrients. Increasing nutrient-rich foods in your diet can, over time help to brighten your teeth. Foods like whole eggs, grass-fed butter, fatty fish, red meat, saukraut and cooked vegetables are essential for tooth brightness. Avoiding foods that cause cavities and erode enamel is also essential: Cutting out sugar, carbohydrates, soy, and grains will reduce cavities and prevent enamel erosion.
If your teeth are yellowed, browned or stained a natural toothpaste or even better a toothpowder can do wonders for brightening your teeth. Surface stains can be reduced through gentle abrasion and safe dissolving ingredients like essential oils can remove even years old stains. We have many customer reviews testifying that stubborn stains were gone after a few weeks of brushing with our toothpowder.

βA friend told me about Dirt Tooth Powder. My husband and I decided to give it a try and we are totally hooked! Not only is the flavor wonderful, but my teeth feel amazing! I recently had a visit to the dentist and she informed me that my teeth are a whole shade lighter! She asked what I had been doing, so I told her about Dirt. She told me to keep up the great work! Weβll never go back to regular toothpaste!β

βI've tried oil pulling in the past using straight coconut oil or coconut oil flavored with plain mint and while I found it effective, it was also kind of unpleasant so I never stuck with it. The Dirt's Oil Pulling Mouthwash tastes amazing! It's a pleasure to use and really does feel like silk sheets for your teeth.β
