New! Sweet Cinnamon Pulling Oil Mouthwash

Posted on March 17 2021

Sweet Cinnamon has made its way to our line of Pulling Oil flavors! We used many ingredients from our Coconut Oil Toothpaste to bring the same oral health benefits and amazing flavor. If you have tried our cinnamon before you know that it is the perfect combination of a warm sweetness with the bite of cinnamon.

Did you know Cinnamon is one of the best antibacterial oils and can help fight hard-to-treat bacteria? We reinforced this with other ingredients that provide additional anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties for a well rounded mouthwash that works just as well as chlorhexidine  rinse.

Oil Pulling is an ancient ayurvedic practice for eliminating bad breath, promoting healthy oral care of teeth and gums, and helping prevent long term diseases.

How to Oil Pull with The Dirt Pulling Oil

Our Pulling Oil can be used in two ways; as a 2-3 minute mouthwash or a 15-20 minute oil pulling session. Use a capful (or tablespoon) amount of oil to swish through your mouth, teeth and gums for the suggested amount of time to pull out impurities that affect oral health. The oils will dislodge junk from your teeth and gums so there is no need to brush your teeth before starting. Spit the oil into the trash or a plastic bag because it is not good for your drains. Rinse with water or salt water and look at your fresh smile in the mirror!

Ingredients:  MCT Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera), Sesame Oil (Sesamum Indicum), Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae Rhamnoides) Essential Oils of: Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), Clove (Syzygium Aromaticum), Tea Tree (Leptospermum Petersonii), Turmeric (Curcuma Longa), Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha), Stevia Extract (Stevia Rebaudiana), Natural Menthol and Rosemary Extract (Rosmarinus Officinalis)

MCT Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil is an amazing moisturizer, even for your gums. It is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and helps prevent bacteria development that causes Strep, Candida, and Staph. Its antiseptic properties make it the perfect remedy for small cuts and mouth sores.

Sesame Oil

Sesame Oil helps eliminate oral malodor and the microbes that cause it just as much as other methods. Sesame Oil is proven to have anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and anti-plaque effects when used as a pulling oil. Tyrosine in  sesame oil is linked to serotonin which helps boost mood levels and decrease anxiety.

Sea Buckthorn

Sea Buckthorn is an anti-inflammatory that soothes and reduces redness in the mouth. It is known for it’s in depth vitamin, antioxidant and flavonoid content which is good for your immune system  to fight infection and cell regeneration.

Cinnamon

The antibacterial work horse is Cinnamon. It fights hard-to-treat bacterial organisms like Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a life threatening, drug resistant bacteria. It is extremely effective against Streptococcus mutans and Candida, which cause oral infection and cavities in teeth. And finally, a disinfectant and natural preservative to lengthen the shelf-life of the Pulling Oil.

Tea Tree

Has been used to treat mouth sores for a long time by mixing drops of oil into a cup of warm water and then either rinsing or directly applying to the affected area. The antiviral, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties will help heal mouth sores of any kind.

Clove

Clove contains the active ingredient benzocaine, the same thing dentists use to numb areas of the mouth before procedures. So it is a highly effective ingredient for relieving  pain associated with toothaches.

Turmeric

A well-known anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial herb that can prevent gingivitis, or gum disease. In Ayurveda, turmeric is used to provide relief from cavities and tooth decay. It is helpful in our Pulling Oil for dislodging food and plaque from between your teeth and around your gums.

Myrrh

Myrrh is a coveted oil used in ancient medicine. It is used as an astringent, antiseptic to treat inflamed lesions of the mouth, soreness from a sore throat or inflamed gums, pain from toothaches, relieves bad breath, and heals minor cuts and sores.

Natural Menthol and Rosemary Extract

These two oils are natural preservatives which help prevent bacteria growth and extend the shelf-life of Pulling Oil.
